dabbling in commodities -
Ooops, prices rising!

  2. Dear Dave, I really enjoyed First Car, First Love. The last couplet has a strong echo from Marvell's To His Coy Mistress, is that made on purpose?

  3. Are banks dumping sub primes or refusing sub prime loans? I haven't been watching rates lately but the last I saw they were very low here. I hope they aren't heading back up already.

  4. Dabbling and dumping -
    Banks should take their business

No, not intended, and I hadn't picked it up until I read your comment - for which, mighty thanks - but I get it now - and am not displeased by it...

Yes, I think you're right. They are refusing the loans - and gambling on commodities, wheat etc, instead

    There's many a groan
    a bank has caused
    recalling a loan.
