You inspire me to try the haiku form once more. I don't really understand it so it rather discombobulates me, but you bring it up to date and thus show its possibilities.
My son has been exploring Kindles, he knows about these electronic things, and has been impressed enough to almost buy one. He is a voracious reader and travels, so something that would give him hundreds of books without the weight would be ideal, but he wants more than they yet offer.

Oh Dave .... I can't imagine not having the 'feel' of a book in my hands, the turning of each page, the insertion of my bookmark ...... the sharing of my books each time I finish one ...........
Family are here today and Kate..14...has an E-reader which is lighter than a book and better for her S.M.A. [ weak muscles] so that's good but there's nothing like the turn of a page and on to the next bit of the story. [ I think it's similar to the Kindle]
Oh no, you are going to break my heart. I love my books. No Kindle for me, no sir. I wouldn't dislike one if I had it but I do so like holding a book and turning pages. Old fashioned I know.
Kindle can not press flowers... I thought that summed it up... Thinks: but what if they bring out a Kindle that can? I still think there's a place for it - but I'll not be getting one. Thanks all.

ReplyDeleteAs we learn more, the term Senryu becomes more familiar. I think it would be okay to call yours that. The more we know about poetry, the better.
