See how its message of hope
divides the religions!

does cause war. You're right, David -
    It all seems so sad.

  3. Hi Dave,

    Happy Easter to you.

Rowan Williams has apologised now - so all is well with the world!

  5. HA HA so right! Religion, such a strange invention, what baffles me most is that in this age of information some still cling to it, stupifying! Happy Easter anyway, eat a marshmallow egg!

  7. Sad and true Dave, I agree with the other comments. Haikus, I feel, must also capture the hard layer of the present.
Even if, as far as religion is concerned, the past was even worse!
As I am reading in the novel "Will" in which Shakespeare speaks about his life and times and that very love-and-kindness practise of disembowelling reserved for the enemies of religion.

Thanks everyone, there was more un
unanimity on this one than I had expected.
Hope you all had - are having - a great Easter break.

I'm not sure he should have apologised - or is that what you meant?

    Tommaso
I had "Will" down as my next read. I'm not sure you haven't put me off!

  12. Hi Dave,

Just popping back (late) to respond to your question. I wasn't actually thinking whether Williams should/not apologise. He's entitled to a view but the Anglican church has enough of its own problems without pointing the finger.
