Did you ever imagine yourself in the tenth dimension? (Super strings vibrating in the tenth dimension create the sub atomic particles.) Suppose yourself a cube. You were born a sphere. but in growing you have morphed into a cube. Imagine your life in time stretched out behind you like the projection of a map... that's the fourth dimension! Or add one more dimension to a Mobius Strip/ A brain contains a hundred billion cells, the Milky Way a hundred billion stars. Your brain has more connections then the universe has galaxies* We speak of Nature's Laws but are they Nature's Laws or the laws of someone/some- thing else -- a supra nature -- that's controlling it? In any image lovely to the eyes a rhythm lies. ........................................ *For "universe" read "known universe".

Amazing that the brain has a hundred billion cells and the Milky Way a hundred billion stars. So very hard to contemplate this number.......of anything in the 'known universe.'
this is wicked cool...i have read hawkings books just to be fascinated and i love how you play with these very difficult concepts...it is mind blowing really...and makes for great verse as well...
Hi Dave - you handle this type of inquiry very well in verse. With such a light touch, and a kind of inherent humor. I've never had a problem believe in natural rhythms and symmetries! I mean, they are everywhere! But dimensions now--crazy. k.
You certainly have an imagination that expands like the universe. What a ride!
Those twisted rings have always annoyed me immensely. And I can't even figure out why.
Your supra nature idea is getting quite popular now.
Nice article, thanks for sharing.
I was fascinated in the eighties by the Mobius strip...I enjoyed your ruminations, the final stanza though is not a rumination, it a powerful flash.
Carved in Lucite,

this pure work
should be.
Complexity freshly exposed with
brevity, clarity, 'spaciousness'
modest brilliance.
Repays the reader, overpays!
How do YOU do such quality so regularly?

I would also add "unknown" as I don't know what lies beynd those hundred billion stars. I love the part about the human brain. The older I get the more fascinated I am with our brains. I refuse to call it a computer or machine. It's a thing of beauty and wonder. Many thanks.
Greetings from London.
Oh went went heavy today. I love it!
Very neat, Dave, great imagination.
Thank you. So much.

Yes, the coincidence got to me. Nature - creation - never ceases to amaze.
Brian
I agree about the mind blowing! Thanks.
manicddaily
I agree. Absolutely. I listen to these guys sometimes and wonder if they're just having a laugh. Dimensions in its usual sense as well - still impossib;e to conceive.

Sounds like I'm about to pop! Ah, well. Much thanks.

Yup they irritate me, too.
That supra nature is becoming popular, I didn't know. Thanks for saying.
