Doodling Again!

Two shots of the crowds milling around Bournemouth pier - back in the summer, of course.

Haiku #67

Most nations have debts
hardly a one in credit -
Where has it all gone?

MADE IN CHINA?

That's a true fact that every nation has debts.

About your country, I've read somewhere that it is "a superpower of debts" and that it will never be able to pay its debts to China and the world,. That's very sad as this might lead to bloody wars.

I've never been able to get my head around economics. If everyone is in debt who has all the money?

I'm with Jim, where as all the money gone?
You doodling, I'd love to see what you do when you're not doodling! I really like these pictures, perhaps it's the setting of the pier (sadly so few left now) that gives your compositions a feel of yesteryear but you know that it's now. Can't help feeling you should make this into a tryptic

That's very impressive doodling.

The people have an air of Lowry's matchstick men about them...

Hi Dave,

Which is presumably why there's no money around for 'ordinary folk' to borrow!!

Tabor said...

I think it was all funny money. It never really existed except in our minds.

Kass said...

It went to borrowed trouble.

Great doodlings- love the overexposedness.the money is not real- it is made of promises and lies and air.

"Money makes the world go around" ...and we call this cycle history...

I hate that I know the answer to that haiku.

Into landfills.

Oh silly me, and graveyards - mustn't forget the bombs!

Deep that one. Took me a minute or two!

DUTA
Not sure what you've been reading...

Ronda
Sadly true.

Jim
I took economics and economic history at school - before I have them both up for art school. Trouble is, I don't recall a thing about either of them.

David
Well, I overexposed the shots - had to make it look deliberate somehow!

jinksy
A great compliment - thanks!

Derrick
Seems logical.

Tabor
In which case, the same must apply to the debts.

Kass
Which I suppose we could pay back with interest - if we'd a mind.

TechnoBabe
Yeah, I guess that about sums it up - but don't forget the overpaid sports stars.

Kay
Thanks I've always been a doodler, so I thought I should try being a technodoodler.

Linda Sue
Agreed. Which is why I maintain that the debt is not real.

Tommaso
The private purse
is a damnable curse.
Up the Revolution!

Rachel
We should recycle all the money, and then there'd be no debts.

tattitiara
Back to my idea of recycling... not the bombs an d graveyards, though.
