Well overdue, I thought, for a digital doodle.

Hi Dave, WOW love this picture.

Titus said...

Wow indeed. Me too, little hints of Dali and I love the colours over the bleached background.

Jim Murdoch said...

Yes, this definitely appeals, Dave.

Carl said...

incredible. Nice work.

Now, Dave, you're just trying to make us all look bad! Very clever indeed and I like the colours too.

Beautifully done!

I love the implied integration with the natural world.

very ethereal! i like it!

Your digital doodle dances! I love not only the implied integration that Poetikat suggested but the circular form which to me suggests the circle of life. Is there a meaningful location to the background trees?

VERY NICE! Would you like to come over for tea and maybe after you could show me how to do doodle?
this is wonderful! New profile shot?

Conda Douglas said...

Woohoo, great photo, very fun to see first thing in the morning!

What a fun image!

I move with the trees - or at least the Forrests - every day. Ha!

Friko said...

great imagination! I really like it.

Are you the blue, the green or that other ethereal colour, Dave - as it says self-portrait you must be in there somewhere moving with the trees. Love it.

Looks like Father Nature come for an inspection of Earth.

{Well Mother Nature must half a better half, right?}

This was a wonderful way to spice up my rainy day.

Dear Dave, I haven't the faintest idea of what a digital doodle is but this is marvellous.

Brilliant! My eyesight is probably not as good as it once was, so it took me another view to see the faces - I love it.

And that's the sort of comment I love! Thanks and welcome.

Titus
Dali, eh? I'm flattered.

Jim
Thanks Jim, it's the sort of thing you can't be sure about.

Carl
Good to have your thoughts. Thanks.

Derrick
Ah, but it could so easily have backfired on me!

John
Thanks for that.

Poetikat
If the wind could do to me what it did to the trees, that is what it woul do.

Shadow
Ethereal... I like that. Thanks.

Linda
I love both the suggestions. The trees had been fllattened, presumably by the prevailing winds. I did find the space with the surrounding trees meaningful, though the meaning was vague. I didn't have to do anything with the background.

Lind Sue
I'd love to come to tea - once the pace of life has settled down bit! Thanks.

Conda
I had much the same thought... great minds!

Fantastic Forrest
It was fun making the image, too. So you are one of the forest Forrests!

Friko
Thanks Friko. Much appreciated.

Weaver
There's a me for
every season, don't you know!

hope
Well actually, it was me trying not to look like Old Father Time! I am delighted if it spiced up your rainy day.

Tommaso
This be a digital doodle.

gleaner
Ah,the faces... alas, they aint what they used to be, but much thanks.

It's mind-blowing. It manages to be soft and smooth and at the same time spooky and frightening. It captures the spirit of autumn so well and the that shade is fantastic. Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

Hi Dave, thanks for the comment. Will you be posting anymore digi pics, can't wait

Tommaso Gervasutti said...

Dear Dave, I like the adjective "spooky" A Cuban In London uses and yes I agree with him, watching this again it really captures the spirit of autumn...Shelley's mode actually.

Don't know what a digital doodle is, but I liked the blue and cloudlike movement. Unsure about the green thing in the middle. Can you explain?

A very gratifying comment if I may say so... soft, smooth and spooky? Some would say that sounds a bit like me!

Gwei Mui
Hope to. In a while, though. Thanks.

Tommaso
Wow! Shalley and all, no less. I'm amazed - and very appreciative.

cornel
Thanks so much.

Carl
I shall certainly try.

enchantedoak
'Tis me own right eye, right cheek and right ear, m'dear!

womanwisdom
Wowsome! Wow, that should make it into some dictionary or other. Impressive - and generous. Thanks

Ah now I know what this photo portrays for me Dave.I know it's you, but rather more too. Could it be a dervish monk or three? Whirling and twirling according to the practice of his order, light on the feet, colourful and showing just a glimpse of a face.
