I love both the suggestions. The trees had been fllattened, presumably by the prevailing winds. I did find the space with the surrounding trees meaningful, though the meaning was vague. I didn't have to do anything with the background.

Ah now I know what this photo portrays for me Dave.I know it's you, but rather more too. Could it be a dervish monk or three? Whirling and twirling according to the practice of his order, light on the feet, colourful and showing just a glimpse of a face.
This just grabbed me right away. Very nicely done. :)
