the last line, does it ask,

where life gets such a high value
or
what life as such values in high regard?

I am afraid I also am not quite smart enough to understand...but I don't really know much about Dawkins and aimlessness.

Yup, I'll have to hold my hands up to this one. The thinking was: If he is so sure that nature is blind, indifferent and uncaring, why does he regard life so highly?
