We shall soon see, I suspect.

A lot of media attention is directed here over the next month, a continent with a lot of challenging issues and disparities.

Nice job, Dave.
From what I saw of FIFA's complete control over all marketing, merchandise and product-placement,
penalty.

nice dave - i love the soccer and wonder at the disparity. same for the olympics. same for all the major sporting events when you move a handful of blocks from the venue. what do you see?! steven

I have been hearing so many people talking about it.

That is the question, but so far so good.

Thanks to every one for some interesting responses. No real surprises, though. Wonder why, when everyone seems agreed about an issue, we still can't agree to get on and do something about it? Is it perhaps because we agree even more about other issues - which may be gainsaying the first agreement?

I think Africa sees it very much as a prize, and for their sake I hope it proves to be one.
