From Therese B. -- I see this scene in many ways: perhaps the man is the job candidate, and his bosses are women for whom he wouldn't want to work because they are not dressed appropriately. Or, perhaps everyone in the room is female, and the female job candidate doesn't want to work for female bosses who aren't dressed conservatively. It could go any number of which-ways...
