I really enjoyed your Clevedon Pier post ... full of interesting information - and yes, it is truly elegant!

2012 -- can you even imagine London during the Olympics? I attended the 1984 Games in Los Angeles ... madness, extreme excitement and a 'once in a lifetime' feeling!

Are you advising the London cab drivers to polish up their language skills . . . or is "London cab driver" a language of its own?

Most cab drivers get lost in their own country. The mind boggles as to how they will go in another country with different languages.

Yes, I realised after posting that there was a certain ambiguity...

No, they've all been "supplied with courses in.." and then followed, very quickly, a list of the languages. I wasn't quick enough to count or remember them all. I did a rapi search, but so far haven't turned up any more precise info'.
