I'm being a dolt. I love the first statement and its image of the lucky charm. But I blank out on what a "soft choice" is. Never having heard that phrase perhaps, I'm in the dark. Yesterday's haiku made me laugh. Cheers! May the spirit rest upon you.
Enchanted Oak The suggestion is that lucky charms are something that men can get right, as against the trickier choices to be made when purchasing most jewellery, perfumes etc. I agree it is not clear.

Hey, I think practicality is ok, not a soft choice, could even mean a protective or connecting gesture,
The world is changing so fast, I wonder what will be considered antique collectables 50 years from now. from oral traditions to tablets to scrolls to books to Kindles, and blogs.

This haiku is intriguing. I like the idea that the giving of the charm is the fulfillment of the superstition that to not give the right gift would be doom for the relationship. It shows that as a man, at least you have given this some thought.

It was a slow news day. I am still working from current news.
Sorry Jinksy, sad I know, but cell phone charms and credit card charms are the new hearts. This was from a news item. It seems that charms went right out of fashion and have recently made a come-back - led by mobile phone and credit card charms.
