Weaver You share my puzzlement - maybe it's just two ageing brain, but I was brought up (from college onwards) to believe that left/right preference is determined by the growth of the speech lobes in the brain. Whichever side they develop , that side will be the dominant brain side, controlling the opposite body side. This study puts a whole new slant on the thing... what does it say about the poor souls who are ambidextrous, for example?
