I'm with Derek...if he had done them himself I might apreciate the message a bit more, as the message is a good one but not to give him the credit. Oh dear, get down of the horse Geraldine!!
I want to know how they're going to keep them in place? My first thought on seeing the piece was "When I go I'll just put the one in my pocket" and I reckon the majority are as criminally-minded as me...
A warm welcome to Poetic Artist and much thanks for all your comments. I suppose I could have been very non-P.C. and pointed out that he's Chinese and that there's a lot of cheap labour available in China, but I think we're basically all agreed. I struggled to see the point of a beach load of ceramic sunflower seeds, but apparently it's a reference to Mao Zedong who referred to the Chinese people as sunflowers turning their faces always to the sun - which of course was him.
Titus, yo would have been a great disappointment to your leader, I think - had you been one of the sunflowers.

Hard to imagine isn't it? Now, the feat would have been if the artist had done then all himself!!
Sunflower seeds.
Hand painted.
Sounds like so much work, hours and hours of work.

Sorry Derrick...wrong spelling!
Do you think someone's going to tell him that he missed a bit?
Sounds like a good way to give up smoking!
