Thanks everyone I did wonder whet you all would find to say about this one - and yes, Frances, I did find it patronising in the extreme, but it was reported as a piece of science, not mere opinion.
These three new haiku are very effective I think because the references are not famous. They therefore reach out to the surrounding culture in a slightly perplexing yet true way, startlingly and deceptively simple.
The discussions that follow are quite important for full understanding.
