Hi Dave,

Given that the SNP in Scotland have to govern with no majority and the sky has not fallen, I fail to see why the UK could not cope with a hung parliament. The big two might benefit from a little humility!

Dear Dave, I have read with great interest your post on the cliches, I particularly enjoyed the conclusion with a quote from Stephen Fry. I am a fan of Stephen Fry, I think he is a great actor and novelist.
I have an audio book I bought in the nineties where he reads his unabridged novel "The Hippopotamus", a sheer delight. I am listening to it for the third time. Have you read it?
Your haiku on the volcanic ash is superb for the discreet metaphysical undercurrent it lets transpire.
