Haiku #21

The law protects a child
from being smacked in school -
though not if it's a faith school.

For those who may have missed my disclaimers on the haiku here

There is no baser law
than mere mortals' assumption
of God-power.

Both of these Haiku's are so right on.

How else are they to appreciate the love of god, Dave?!

So a faith school should be against the law right?

Oh no ... you sparked another long lost memory of our youngest coming home from 'faith based' school with ruler marks on his six year old hands! We changed schools.
Haiku #20 reminds me of the many sermons I napped through (with my eyes wide open) in the church of my childhood.

You, Mr. Dave, are a memory sparker!

These haiku are fantastic Dave - you have really got people interested. Today's one is interesting - is that really so?

Very observant haiku, Dave.

I wish I could make such good points in so few words, and entertaining too.

You're really up and running with these haikus, Dave. I envy your capacity for such acuity within such compression.

Thanks all
Loved those lines Kass.
Thanks Tabor.
Yeah, God's way are fathomless to man, Derrick!
Agreed - and a warm welcome to you Oh My Goddess.
Thanks for those two memories Helen.
I'm afraid it really is so Weaver , corporal punishment (now more often called abuse) is banned by law in state and in private schools, but not in faith schools - can't upset them, can we?
Thanks Ronda.
You do Bagman and Butler - you will again, I am sure.
Thanks Dick
