The image is this week's Magpie Tales prompt.
in their world
but the other.
At each point
but two pairs of lips.
His on hers.
Hers on his.
are reduced to this
the touch and press
Only the lips
that their brains
are lost in space
are unread ideograms
of crumpled sheet.
Sensation is a match
flaring at the touch
to strong emotion
dying down again.

nice dave....i like the comparison of them to matches...burning at the tip where they come together it fits the rather interesting picture...
As always a perfect take on the picture.
Wow. Great poem for that prompt.
It fits in symmetry like you say
lovely thank you x
awesome! i love it very much! "nothing exists but the other."
have a great week ahead sir!
You brought the picture to life. I especially liked your last stanza!
Everything else stripped away and just them on display, wonderful verse.
Like this ... (I'm rethinking everything I thought I learned in that geometry class years ago.)
A mystical kiss. Excellent.
Ahhhhhh, wonderful lip service!!! ;-D
Very nice, Dave. :-)
You words give this photo an added dimension while staying true to the essence of it.
"Their bodies pure geometry"....this is pure brilliance Dave....an amazing poem!
Very enjoyable right from the first kiss to the last :-).
Strong beautiful images...I love the pure geometry, match flaring, and pair of lips.
Lovely words ~
Physical and mental phenomenon melt into one moment...
hat is beautiful...the unity of mindfulness, mirroring meshed souls and intellects!
I like the way you pulled other reference points in making this a map of the senses
of crumpled sheet."
luscious poem Mr King
not sure about 'delineate', somehow it feels awkward?
many lovely lines and truth!
They're young explorers. In love. Getting lost. Then finding their way back again. Hmm...
