The double meaning
of Dave King's Valentine heart
pumped delight through mine.

Oh Dave is there no end to your wit and philosophy - here's hoping not!

Shows how greedy people are today - or may, starved of love?

Valentine's day, such a silly contrivance. Remembering school days when everyone would get penny cards from everyone else with nasty little sweet hearts to eat. ICK! Insincere mandatory love.
Sort of like confession- one can be a jerk all year but with a couple of bob and a phrase, is forgiven another year of jerky behaviour.

Another winner! Also wanted to say the first thought I had when I looked at your Dance of Life post was the Winter Olympics! Somehow the image symbolizes the energy of Earth ~ hopefully there will be less global warming during the upcoming Winter Games!

I love this one.

The whole poem hangs on the word "gain." :)

Dave - I seriously hope you are not thinking of sending three Valentine cards - and if so I hope they are all three for the same woman - and if so I hope that woman is your wife!!

Lovely

Not much, me thinks!

I like the Weaver of Grass's comment and am of the same opinion.

All
Thanks everyone for a pretty comprehensive set of comments.
My thoughts, too, Raj.
Wow, Kass, I'm all of a dither!
Well, I think there might be, Gwei, but I'll spin it out as long as I can!
Starvation causes greed, I've heard Jinksy.
I read of one school where the head has banned Valentine cards because love confuses the pupils - perhaps it's actually the staff who sre confused, eh Linda Sue?
Thanks for all those comments Helen. I especially like the idea of athletic skeletons.
Exactly, Storialist.
Actually, I'm not sending any, Weaver - or expecting any.
Marinela: Welcome to the blog and thanks.
Ronda: agreed!
DUTA. Absolutely.

Oh, to have so many people to whom one could send a card.
