A quiet protest. A concise protest. A haiku of a protest.
An OAP could get beat up (it happened in Romania) for protesting too slowly.
There now, we must protect and cherish our senior citizens ....
It says everything...
Holy cow! Kass's comment is quite alarming.
AllWow, this stirred up more than I'd expected. I thought it would be a quiet haiku. The news item had significance for me because my late dad took part in a similar protest to have a pedestrian crossing installed outside the care home in which he spent his last years. It was a very bust main road, on the other side of which was a very nice park, and the old folk crossed and recrossed the road endlessly, holding up the traffic. The police and even the mayor attended. (The protest worked: they got their crossing.)
Hooray for Pensioner Power!
